Discovering Conero and the Marches region

The “Due Sorelle” is the symbol of the Conero Costline and it is so called because of the twin rocks emerging from the sea and it is awarded as one of the 10 most beautiful, suggested, unspoiled beaches in Italy. This beach is made of gravel, pebbles and rocks. It can be reached by boat or by steep paths. There are departures from the port of Numana, 1 Km from the hotel.

Marcelli has a wide and well-ventilated beach equipped with establishments, restaurants, bars and children’s playgrounds. It is well-known for its thin gold stones and for its well-kept spaces. Marcelli is ideal for families and it is easy reachable. You can reach it by car with parking on the promenade, a few steps far from the establishments and with the summer public transport service.

Numana has a gold color beach with clear waters, It is equipped with bathing facilities, restaurants, bar and children’s playgrounds and it is located next to the port. It is perfect for families with children and it is easy reachable. The well-kept beach is made up with fine gravel and it can be reached by car or by summer public transport service.

The “Spiaggiola” is considered one of the most picturesque beaches of Numana. It is sheltered on the east by a cliff and on the south from the Marina, so here the water is always calm. The beach of fine gravel and it can be reached on foot from the Numana’s center or from the marina.

It is a wonderful coast of the Conero Park which was awarded the Blue Flag. It is a fine gravel, well-kept, secluded, very charming, well-equipped beach, dominated by rocky cliffs. The sea is clear, ideal, for bathing and swimming. It is the exclusive Hotel Eden Gigli’s beach, reachable throught a path from the hotel and from the marina is well.

It is located in Sirolo and it is a lovely crescent-shaped bay of gravel and pebbles, covered with a green Mediterranean forest and sheltered by a semicircular barrier of riffrock. It is located between the homonymous cave and a rocky cliff. The beach is equipped with bathing establishments and restaurants. It can be reached by car and it is next to B&B “Villa Gigli”.

It is the jewel of the Riviera del Conero and it is located on the slopes of the Mount Conero. It can be reached by foot from the Sirolo’s center and in summer with bus shuttle service.

The beach on Sirolo is the wildest beach not far from the promontory with free-beaches and some establishments. It is so called because fo the characteristic color of the stones. The beach can be reached on foot from Sirolo’s center crossing Via Giulietti or the “Parco della Repubblica”. In summer a bus shuttle service is available.

It is located in an area next to the “Due Sorelle” beach. It is located in a pristine bay on the slopes of the Mount Conero, overlooking the crystal clear sea of Sirolo. It can be reached only by sea with own boat or you have to rend a Zodiac.

It is located on the south side of the bay of Portonovo after the Church of "Santa Maria di Portonovo". It is so called because of the large sail-shaped rock and it is the favourite destination for brave drivers. This coastline is the last swimming area on the north-slope of the Conero. It can be reached by the sea.

It is beautiful bay on the slopes of the Mount Conero, unspoiled and cozy beach, that is behind sheltered by the Mount Conero, on the north by the “Trave” rock. White sand beach without establishments and with only one restaurant. It can be reached by a footpath in about 30 minutes or by sea.

The “Trave” rock is a stretch of sandstone land going offshore for 1 kilometer. Here the sea fauna is flourishing and reach in mussels that are celebrated in all the dishes from the Conero Riviera. Meta internazionale del pellegrinaggio mariano, la basilica è sorta intorno alla Santa Casa di Nazareth. Nella basilica hanno operato i migliori architetti a partire dal XV secolo, come Francesco di Giorgio Martini, Giuliano da Sangallo, Donato Bramante, Luigi Vanvitelli. Una delle cappelle è stata affrescata dal pittore portorecanatese Biagio Biagetti.

È la città natale di Giacomo Leopardi, con il palazzo di famiglia adibito a museo ed i luoghi leopardiani ancora intatti e carichi di suggestione. Il museo Beniamino Gigli conserva le memorie dell'illustre tenore, mentre la Pinacoteca Civica custodisce opere di Lorenzo Lotto ed il Museo Diocesano quella del Mantegna, del Guercino e del Sassoferrato.

Ricca di storia, si caratterizza per essere una città molto tranquilla ed ospitale ideale per soggiorni brevi per famiglie e per chiunque ami la storia e i bei paesaggi. Celebre è lo Sferisterio, teatro lirico all’aperto noto per la favolosa acustica al suo interno. Unico nel suo genere architettonico, il teatro ospita ogni anno migliaia di visitatori.

Complesso carsico più grande d'Europa, di eccezionale interesse scientifico e speleologico, offre uno spettacolo unico di stalattiti, stalagmiti e altre concrezioni dalle forme più fantastiche. A 45 minuti d'auto, un'esperienza unica ed indimenticabile. Le grotte sono aperte al pubblico tutto l’anno.

Uno dei porti più importanti dell’Adriatico, sopra il quale si erge il Duomo di San Ciriaco. Tra le attrattive: la chiesa di Santa Maria della Piazza, l’arco di Traiano, il Lazzaretto del Vanvitelli, la loggia dei Mercanti, Piazza del Papa e il teatro le Muse. Grazie alla sua forma a gomito, è l’unica città della costa dove è possibile vedere sul mare sia l’alba che il tramonto.

Famosa per essere città bipolare: oltre alla parte che si estende alla luce del sole sulle due colline che la ospitano, la città offre anche un affascinante mondo sotterraneo con più di 9 chilometri di labirinti e cunicoli in parte visitabili. Uno spazio in cui la forza dell’uomo si fa sentire in tutta la sua grandezza con un’energia che incanta e seduce, affascina ed emoziona.

Conosciuta in tutto il mondo per le fabbriche di strumenti musicali, in particolare le fisarmoniche, le pianole e gli organi. La città ospita infatti il Museo internazionale della Fisarmonica. Ogni anno si svolge il Festival Internazionale della Fisarmonica: ospiti di grandissimo rilievo uniscono la fisarmonica a tutte le altre forme di espressione artistica.

Stoccafisso all'Anconetana Le origini di questo piatto risalgono alle tradizioni marinare della città di Ancona. La ricetta dell' Accademia dello Stocafisso prevede la cottura in un tegame largo e su un fondo di canne stagionate.

Brodetto all'Anconetana Il Brodetto Anconetano è una delle tante ricette di zuppa di pesce delle Marche. Ancora oggi viene preparata come anni fa. Sono necessarie ben tredici specie di pesce e tutti dell' Adriatico

Pesce azzurro Tutto il pesce azzurro (acciughe, sgombri, alici, suri,..) proveniente dall' Adriatico è tipico della tavola della costa del Conero.

Altre specialità Tipiche della tavola sono anche le carni (coniglio, pollo), le verdure gratinate o fritte, primi piatti (tagliatelle, vincisgrassi, cappelletti) e gli scroccafusi, un dolce secco ideale complemento per un buon bicchiere di vino.

Un microclima continuamente ravvivato dalle brezze marine e un terreno calcareo, permettono al vitigno Montepulciano di esprimere qui, nel Rosso Conero, una tipicità impossibile altrove. Il Rosso Conero è un vino Doc fruttato ed elegante che gode della denominazione di origine controllata sin dal 1967. Seguendo la strada del Rosso Conero è possibile visitare le nuomerose cantine della zona dove potrete acquistare prodotti tipici e di prima qualità come olio, miele e vino.
